that ramadhan i won't forget to remember #1

alhamdulillah. finally ramadhan comes again this year. every time ramadhan comes, there will be several things would come across my mind. it is all about the past ramadhan. for this post, i want to recall the experience of my first time fasting in ramadhan.

looking back at the past, i started to learn to fast when i was seven. that time i was in primary one. i can't clearly remember whether i began fasting on the first of ramadhan or few days later. but the person who keep encourage me to start fasting in ramadhan is surely kaklong. what i can remember, it wasn't bad at all to be fasting. i would be lie if i tell that i didn't feel hungry but for seven years old child to stay fasting, i still could stand to wait until maghrib. and for beginner at that time, people around including me myself never expect me to completely fasting for thirty days in a row. but surprisingly, i still manage to fast for 23 days. 7 days off for 7 years old kid. haha. aidilfitri on that year was very meaningful to me cause i puasa during ramadhan. funny what, children will always be children. i still remember how proud am i to boast around with family, relatives and friends. hoho

later a year had gone. the cycle made me met ramadhan again. since i was eight at that time, only two thoughts stayed in my mind. either to complete fasting for 30 days cause i've grown or it is okay to just fast for 22 days, 8 days off for 8 years old child. hahah. both were my targets where i should achieve one of them. as i grow, the laziness inside me and my wisdom grow too. i felt so lazy to wake up for sahur and fasting. my wisdom that for sure mostly everyone had encountered when they were younger, drinking tap water while taking shower. omg, when the water ran through my throat, the feeling of relieve was indescribable. haha like i mentioned, children will always be children. despite all those matters, i still fasting for many days. after minus the days i sneaking to drink tap water, i didn't achieve any of my early goals. neither 30 days nor 22 days.  precisely i didn't remember but it was within 24-26 days. still better than my first year of fasting. hahah

MAGICAL MUSICALS totally magical acts...

It was the night where i could dance and sing my heart out. Experienced Magical Musicals performance at Ampitheatre in Sunway Lagoon was a superb and surprising moments for me. Thanks to the show cause it totally brought me way to Times Square felt like watching Broadways. To add the glitters to the show, it featured more than 30 songs from numbers of musicals like Hairspray, Grease, Moulin Rouge!, Mamma Mia!, Dreamgirls, Saturday Night Fever, West End Story, Footloose, We Will Rock You, Wicked, and even the current phenomenal Glee.

The story revolved when six aspiring actors were determine to make a great debut in Broadway. They headed to New York for the audition. There were Megan and Danny, married couple from Seattle, Amber and Josh the lovebirds and also Stephanie from Baltimore who met Ryan at the audition before their love story bloomed.

Don't Stop Me Now
The show kick off with the rendition of Don't Stop Me Now from We Will Rock You. Later Stephanie stepped up to show her talent with my favourite sixties song from Hairspray, Good Morning Baltimore. Wahhh my mouth can't stop singing to her. Then, Danny and Megan get their chances alone to sing and express their past love in Tonight (West Side Story) before Amber and Josh took the stage with Grease's You're The One That I Want and Summer Nights.

Good Morning Baltimore
Ryan was a little bit down when Stephanie explained that she was Holding Out For A Hero in her life. Ryan need to his time to Footloose so he could loose a bit and Megan and Danny stole the night with As Long As You're Mine and Defying Gravity from Wicked with a spectacular lighting when beautiful sporadic blue lights shot the whole ampitheatre just like we're part of it.

I love the blue lights
Besides that, there was a PG13 scene where the hunky male dancers were dancing topless to steamy I Need A Hero by the girls. Hahaha it was funny to think about it when all the girls watching were screaming like hell. To spice up the show, it wasn't just Broadway songs were there, because surprisingly they belted out to Jai Ho with intriguing fire dancers. Hell everyone was singing and tapping their feet too.Oh another favourite song of mine. The first show end with four male extras playing bhangra.

Jai Ho
The second half of the show started with 5 years later they all were succeed in Broadway business. The girls were the stars for the hit Dreamgirls. What do I love, they later sang both renditions of One Night Only, slow and fast numbers. Danny and Josh couldn't believe that after this five years, Ryan still hasn't pop out the question to Stephanie. Ouchh.

Dreamgirls
Later at the night club, the boy started with Night Fever. Whoa feeling like watching Elvis Presley. Stephanie who has a crush on Ryan ask him If I Can't Have You. Danny and Josh urged Ryan to propose Stephanie but then he don't had the gut to do so and leave her in despair singing to Reflections. And when Amber and others were singing to The Elephant Love Medley only Ryan got the courage to ask her through the big screen, ''Will you marry me?''.

Night Fever
The happy cast then hit the Glee-ful night with Don't Stop Believin' before Stephanie did the Rachel style og Don't Rain On My Parade. Then OMG, my favourite mash up of Umbrella/Singing In The Rain and they danced with glow in the dark umbrella gave a very beautiful scene. Then the male leads took the stage with We Will Rock You and We Are The Champion.

Umbrella/Singing In The Rain

We Are The Champion

The show ended with songs from Mamma Mia! and the dancers climbed up to the audiences and searched for their Dancing Queen. Hahaha what a beautiful show.

Mamma Mia!

Though it was a great show, but then still got few weaknesses. One thing I felt like cheated was the posters of the show portrayed young budding actors but then the show was leaded by thirty plus actors. And some of the songs didn't suit their voices. But still, i gave two thumbs up for the magical moments and rated 4 stars out of 5.

Peeps, Magical Musicals will run until July 17. So what are you waiting up. Got your tickets at www.airasiaredtix.com with tickets price range at RM100, RM200, RM250 and RM300.

what a heroic Pak Nil

yepp for the first time in my life i bought harian metro. aroused by today's headline made me want to spend myr1.50 on that i-never-like newspaper.

the headline ''Pak Nil hero''. oh what had he did to be acknowledged as a hero? OMG, he just save a life when a guy was about to commit suicide and help him clear his debt with a loan shark by paying myr1000.

it all started when aznil was conducting his segment on radio era between 6am to 10am. a guy sen an sms thru the programme 'merisik khabar, riuh pagi', believed to be his last will for his family. aznil who was shocked when received that sms, quickly called him. that guy had prepared poison for him to drink before he jump from a high building. aznil tried his best to persuade and calm him. and what aznil did was a success.

that guy was actually depressed after he and his family being hunted by the loan shark for the past eight months. he was in the dead end don't know what else to do.

aznil just give him a new lease of life. a brand new hope. huh, amazing lahhhhh

aishhhh i can't stop staring. she had a monster bag too. ouchh sama larhhh. mine is dark brown, hers black. i named it mrs. momo lah. we were standing facing each other so she didn't realize mine (she faced the door). and as for coincidence, i saw there was a ring of keychain yang dah putus at the bag zip. mine pon ada, so i won't throw away that ring. hahahah what did i do? smile and smile and smile until bts station la. she pun pelik looking at me hahaha.

when the train was about to arrive, i turned around to face the door and stood next to her. mr. momo pun next to mrs. momo la. sweet kan. i jumped off, walked three steps and turned my face back, ohhh she lost in the pool of people rushing in and out of the train............amoi tu....kalau jumpe lagi...???

wed ain't wednesday...

yeahh by the title, i got your attention now. don't tell me that i'm stupid to deny wed is the abbreviation for wednesday but what i want to mention is that wed stands for world environment day. yeahh this year wed fall on june 5. so what did you do for your environment?

actually, what i did on this day is just going out to bukit bintang. hahah. it was niki cheong who made me out. he was with other celebs to spread awareness in conjunction with wed. at 1.45, a bus stopped in front of lot 10 drew lots of attention. then, a group of musician start pumping the day with grooves and beats from the bin cum drum. more attention. and niki was shouting and shouting and shouting. other celebs waved their placards which i can't remember even one hahah. but what i remember they shout, "no plastic bag!", "recycle!". then they started handing out ecobag with tshirt, cap and tumbler. i went to get it from niki. hahahah when he saw me, ''hey, you made it here..". yalah for free items. goshhh. jangan jelez i got them.
t-shirt, cap, ecobag, tumbler

later there was another kind of celebration. this time by upm students. they asked us to write a pledge card then they would snap our pic for their picture liking contest on facebook. just do it for fun and for another goodie bag. hahahah. what do you see below? a very bad drawing. wondered to draw a bike, the organizer asked me ''fixie?''. but then, where is the pedals i don't know. and only idiot drew the handle tooooo far from the seat hahah. but what did i wrote sounds cool larr. the message came out of sudden. so i'll try my best to do it (cycle).
let's reCYCLE...reduce carbon emission!

then window shopping la since i got no money to spend on clothes and shoes. but i found what i wanted so i'll hunt for them next time. ehhh i jumpe ultraman cosmos and ultraman mebius wowww. uishhhh not being a kiddo but ultraman tuuuuu. and to add more fun, i didn't bring camera. oh sengal, wish i'd capture those moments.

p/s: don't ask me who niki cheong, but if you insist to know, ask the animal called google yerrr

for freebies, i would go...

hell to the no if you guys don't like freebies. i'm kinda person who heart freebies. wonder how many free t-shirts i own. gagaga. so i would definitely go for it when there are lots of freebies at stake.

this upcoming sunday is world environment day. so some celebs including niki cheong will going around with redribbon days to spread the words on saving carbon footprints. they'll plant some trees at taman botani, shah alam before head to bukit bintang to hand lots of freebies. they'll stop at lot 10 at 1.30pm and fahrenheit88 at 1.45pm.

what kind of item they'll be giving out? ecobags, wed t-shirt, wed caps and eco tumblers. sounds interesting stuff isn't it. so if you guys still have no any plans on this sunday, let's just go there for fun. wait a minute, it is TOMORROW guys!!!!! GO GREEN okayyyy

everyday is a wayang day...

it has been quite sometime i didn't write. this time i just wanna share about two great movies. x-men: first class and kung fu panda 2.

at the very first moment, i'm not very interested to watch x-men since each character was acted by new actors and not the acknowledged actors from the x-men franchise. no hugh jackman, no halle berry. but it was an out of sudden decision to watch it on the day it was release with zero knowledge of what is this story is about since it was not written in comic before. however, it turned to be no regret to enjoy this cause i would raise three thumbs up if i could. it was the x-men prequel. the line was actually about charles xavier a.k.a prof x and erik lehnsherr a.k.a magneto. how they met, become friends and turn enemies. and interestingly, mystique was acknowledge as sister to prof x. other characters just addition to the story. a tinkerbell, alex summers or havok little like the very own cyclops. oh yeahh i like banshee. the sonar guy who could fly pretty awesome. hahahah. the adventure from germany to russia to france to america to argentina. oh hell awesome and in the end, it was teary moment when erik turn enemy to charles and how charles end up on the wheelchair. hey, hugh jackman was in the movie for two seconds cameo with the most remembered line i guessed. hahahah. at last, walking out of the cinema, you'll probably smile and say, 'ohh camni lah rupanya beginning of x-men'...4.3/5 rating

the next day, it was my week awaited moment to watch kung fu panda 2. though couldn't watch it in 3d, 2d is still superbly awesome yaw. when the teaser of kung fu panda 2 was released, i was thinking what kind of conflict would po gonna have. in the first movie, it was tai lung. so who is the enemy in this sequel? lord shen, the peacock. the main story line was all about xiao po origin. the freaking dumb part was when po realized that mr. ping the goose wasn't his real father. oh hell stupid. but then the story grew for po to find his real identity, son of a couple of panda killed by the fierce lord shen who was afraid of the prophecy that a warrior of black and white would stop him one day. from the very start of the movie, i can't help myself laughing and laughing and laughing. oh hell it was so funny. when po master his inner peace, oh my gosh....but in the end, what? there might be the third sequel comin up...............5/5 rating

next, super 8. eh what is all about this super 8? idk but steven spielberg produced it, so rate it must watch.
oh sorry this post no pix attached. hahah

the malay chronicles: bloodlines

finally i made it to the cinema to watch hikayat merong mahawangsa. quite hard to get the ticket cause most houses have it sold out. honestly, this is the best malay movie that i've ever watched so far. epic and poetic. the story revolves when the rome empire and china han dynasty want to be united through marriage of their prince and princess. prince marcus and princess meng li have to marry at the golden land, a land with no king. and the journey begin when marcus discovered merong mahawangsa in goa, india to lead his convoy to the golden land to meet his bride. but they have to face the garuda who want to ruin the marriage.

yeahh it is an interesting movie to watch. the graphic, storyline, and music make it more happening. one thing i'll always remember is this pantun.

''sampai masa tibanya waktu, redup hati kaum berdua,
bila dua jasad bersatu, nikmat dunia dirasa bersama...''

a mere thinking would say this pantun is talking about love between man and woman. but i was wrong because the meaning is actually about...............tengok sendiri lahhh..baru paham..hahahaha

p/s: suka sangat tengok princess meng li hua

do i look sooo chinese?

ermm this thing happens to make me giggle like orang gile. i just came back from having movie at times square. stopped at cempaka station, i was wondering for rapid kl t324 just to noticed that i need to wait for another 50 minutes. so, uncle taxi is some kind of my alternative. 4 passengers, one young girl, one chinese guy, malay guy and me. this malay taxi driver maybe originate from utara i guessed. he talked too much yeah some kind of comedian. hahah. first to off, the malay guy. so this uncle spoke to him with loghat utara. next the girl, owhh why he talked too gentle to her? huh people.. then, the chinese guy turned. and he started to speak with some kind of chinese slang. okay with that until my turn means i'm the last passenger to disembark. and the driver asked me, 'erm you haa, tiggal sini ade sewa ke sendirik punya? sini tempat manyak mahal maa..tapi manyak cantik itu dapat tengok kl'. huh i wondered why he spoke like that to me? and then he kept talking to me with that chinese slang (layankan je lah). until i jumped off the cab to hear he wish me, 'gong xi fa chai'. hahaha i was thinking, do i look so chinese since i never thought so though my grandpa is chinese. but i took that as a compliment. hahaha thank you pakcik.

19 going to 20

Yeahhhhh I’m turning 20 in less than few months. Leaving my ‘teen’ days with full of tastes, sweet and bitter, joys and tears, black and white. Oh feel like I don’t want to let go those days but life need to move on as time pass by. Instead of mourning or crying, I’m so happy to enter another chapter of my life. Walk into the arch of 20 would be more interesting I guess though thinking of getting older. And let me closer a year to my wedding day in bla bla bla..Sigh.

Yeah there would be a bunch of hopes and wishes for a better future of me. I’m hoping that I’m gonna be  a nicer person to everyone though I know I’m always a very nice person (laugh). I should be focussing more on my goal, emphasizing my hopes and others, as well as flying high for a higher and better achievement. Yeahh keep dreaming the day I put on white coat with a stethoscope in the pocket standing next to a bed examining a patient
.
And my metamorphosis would only happen on my upcoming birthday. Well I’m looking forward for Mr.April to come soon. Yet April 2011 might be my last enjoyable birthday month (if and only if it full of blast this year). Later in the coming years, April won’t be nice to since I have series of medical professional examinations before I ended up as zombie for the whole year after my graduation day.

I wish I could get a pair of ‘supra tk society’ shoes on my very birthday. Owh have been dreaming to have that one for a long time. And a very kind persona would love to buy me a pair from this four colour range, red, blue, purple and white. My foot size is 8. Haha.

Peeps, Justin Bieber is coming down to KL this April. And I wish to get his concert ticket too. Still wondering who would be the very best individu to buy me his concert ticket. Wink wink. And F1 on April too. I never get the chance to be there watching Jenson Button or Nico Rosberg speed towards the chequered flag. Another wink wink. Hahahaha.

And last but not least, I hope someone would hand me a wrapped box of a stethoscope. Yeahh I’m gonna be a doctor soon.

Omigosh I love this song by B.O.B so much ‘Don’t Let Me Fall’…..

Well it was just a dream
Just a moment ago
I was up so high
Looking down at the sky
Don’t let me fall
I was shooting for stars
On a Saturday night
They say what goes up
Must come down
But don’t let me fall

10 embarrassing moments in my life

Ooppsss!! OMG!!! Yeah everyone has ever encountered their embarrassing moments in their life. And those are some popular exclamations when we are humiliated. And this time I managed to assemble 10 embarrassing moments in my life (18sx humiliations are excluded).

1. Cry me a chick
It happened during my preschool day. One day I missed my kampong so much so I just sit and started crying with no reasons. Everyone was puzzled since I wept out of sudden. My teacher and friends consoled me and kept asking me why and why. I just too shy to admit that I missed my kampong so I told them I was thinking about a chick that I reared. Who would took care of the chick, fed the chick and so on. Haha it turns up to a sensasion story up until I graduated primary school. A boy cried over a chick.  (p/s: never own a chick as your pet)

2. Mess with a wedding
It was my eldest brother’s wedding day at the bride’s house. Yeah my makciks and grannies took picture with the bride and bridegroom on the aisle. My cousin told me to take my late granny’s handbag she put next to the aisle and give it to her. Once I stepped on the aisle, my hand was pushing one of the flower tower and it fell down. Yeah my uncle scolded me in front of all guests and I ran away to my dad’s van crying. Ahh like a Hindustan movie. Damn so malu.  (p/s: never bother of others handbag in a wedding ceremony even there’s snatcher)

3. Sleeping beauty
Secondary prep time was at 8p.m. up until 11p.m. One thing I love to do when I was form 1 was sleeping during that time instead of study. Haha so lazy. Since I’m one of the common sleeper in my class plus air liur basi never missed, I always been teased by my friends. One day they left me sleep until 11.15p.m. No one woke me up and when I was awake, the school was so dark. This was repeated again and again. Sometimes they threw chalked to me, sergah-sergah like a psycho until I terkejut macam beruk. Cett hampeh korang semua!!   (p/s: I remembered they called me tasik Tonle Sap..owh air liur basi)

4. Misha Omar oh Misha Omar
This one is malu turn sweet memory. It was French Cultural Day (HKP) in STF somewhere in 2005. I participated in the karaoke competition. ‘’Petite Marie’’. And it is my natural for me to sing with certain gaya involuntarily. At that time, I flip my right leg once I hit the high note. Everyone was laughing to me while I left puzzled, why? Just next morning I read an article in the HKP daily bulletin. ‘’ Male version of Misha Omar. This boy grabbed the audience attention by imitating the singer angkat kaki trademark. And he nailed a place in top three.’’ Since 1st and 3rd places went to girls, ruckus was everywhere when I stepped on the stage to received my prize. Hahaha malu but the title so sweet lah!! ^^   (p/s: please tie your legs when you’re singing)

5. Makkkkk anjing!!
When I was form five, I went to school during 1st school term holiday just to finish some work. Yeah I walked from the bus stand to my school (3km I guess). Just I was about to reach the school gate, I saw a black dog coming from the opposite side. The dog seem ignoring me when I passed it. But out of sudden, it tried to bite my shoe from my back. What the hell I screamed like a girl. Arrghhhhhhhhhhhh and ran as fast as I could. Yes the dog was frightened with my scream but, motorists and the guard kept laughing at me. Huhuhu red face.   (p/s: practice screaming everyday so it won’t turn like a girl when you met a dog)

6. You need an umbrella
I had to sing during a secondary final year hi-tea at a golf resort. Yepp nobody want to perform and everyone kept pointing to me to do something on that day. Just don’t want to let them down, I agreed to sing a song. At the moment I started to sing the second verse, rain poured down the area. People were at the open area dashed into the roof area for shelter. And to make it more even worst, rain stopped when I stopped singing. Then everyone make fun at me. OMG I should always think many times to sing in public in future.  (p/s: make sure you sing in the toilet only)

7. Serve your right
Tamhidi life in USIM I went more crazy. Yeahh we have a best outing in Dusun Eco Resort. There was a telematch  and one of the game is ‘’flourish candy’’. Just after the game end, I turned the atmosphere into chaos. I threw the flour to all of my friends. Until I called the war end, I still hold a plate of flour. Without notice, a friend of me slapped the plate from my back and poooooppps!! I was on flour from top to bottom. Yepp I did lightly to them, they gave it back to me hardly.

8. Tea + Milo = Tealo?
It was during my working days at McDonald. A customer ordered a cup of tea for his breakfast. Blindly, I took a tea bag and put it into a hot cup. Teeet  I clicked on the button ‘Milo’. Yepp hot Milo combined with tea. I was like, ‘errr, what have I done?’ The customer laughed at me. So I made the customer another tea but still I clicked on Milo. Three times I did the same thing and the customer only get his tea after my fourth cup. My manager just laughed and shook his head.   (p/s: never give Milo or tea to your customer, Coke is easier)

9. Shoes promoter
It was the last two days of fasting month. I went to Terminal One accompanied my friend did his last minute shopping. Later I noticed a former schoolmate was searching for shoes in a shop. I approached her and offered her to try a pair of shoes. ‘’Kak, kasut ni cantik kak. Cubelah’’ She refused though I offered her many times and she kept saying ‘’Takpelah. Taknak,’’ without  looking at me. At last I stood in front of her and…..@#!@$#^&%. She slapped my back several times so kuat in front of other customers. So malu plus sakit.   (p/s: put a cardboard inside your shirt so she won’t slapping you many times)

10. Christmas means cuti
On last Christmas, I was about to going back home. So I packed my things and put my clothes in a plastic bag so I would send them to the laundry. Laundry house is under my apartment. Yepp carrying a heavy bag plus laundry bag, from level 15 to level 1. Then I have to take another elevator from level 1 to level B4 (parking area). Then I need to go down the stairs so I would reach the laundry house. Just to notice the laundry was closed plus all the kedai in the same row also closed. Eh, Christmas lahhh..everyone is cuti-ing.  (p/s: wash your own clothes lah. Lazy)

i shed my tears as i bid farewell to twenty-ten

haha what a melancholic title. but it is true. twenty-ten has been a whole great exciting journey in my life. i learned so many things so i could appreciate every twenty-one percents of air i did inspired in every single breath. it is worth to miss you mister twenty-ten.

it is the year where i've been accepted into a medical school. that was my childhood dream that i took nineteen years to accomplished it. though medicine is so tough but i did enjoy the path that i've chose. even though i'm not the type that love to mug shelves of books but still i'll try my best in my six years degree programme.
my friends from faculty of medicine and health sciences

what to say twenty-ten might be my luckiest year. i won a Lerun bicycle for second place. for the first time in my life i won such an expensive item. thanks to the organizer, UTM. it was just a simple game that i accidentally participated as i walked into Youth'10 festival. funny thing, i only rode the bike few times up until now or it would just be locked in my house.
the bike i won

the best part is i've tried so many new things that i haven't done it before. i went for ice-skating at Sunway Pyramid ice rink. did wakeboarding at The Mines Watersport. both are super duper fun sports that i would love to go for it again. i flew on airplane to Sarawak for a vacation. it was my first time to join flash mobs too. danced to 1Malaysia on Malaysia Day in Times Square and Pavilion, thrilled Shah Alam with MJ's Thriller (the event happened worldwide at the same time and i was on TV too). Hey i watched Showdown 2010 live from KL Life (i was on TV too). haha
with my friend and coach of wakeboarding
ready to surf on water
thrill the world shah alam
at showdown 2010 live show
one thing that i would be so happy, i made lots of new friends. different races, different religions because i'm colour blind. i look Malays, Chinese, Indians and others as 1 Malaysia. those are from different communities and events that i've ever joined. from McDonalds Nilai, Youth Asia, Youthsays, Groupsmore, Y Life, PT Foundation, Thrill The World Shah Alam and Mission.Kuala Lumpur.Malaysia. and of course i love all my friends doesn't matter you're old or new to me.
friends from Y Life
but somehow there were still lots of things i missed in twenty-ten. i missed several events like Maher Zain concert, Shout Award 2010 ( i got the ticket), Red Carnival AIDS awareness campaign, Free Hugs campaign, and some i couldn't remember.
